Elementary School Challenge Winners Announced

This year, A Cleaner World again offered an opportunity for area elementary schools to be involved in the Give A Kid A Coat campaign through a specially designed coat drive which encouraged parents and students to drop off coats at A Cleaner World stores. The Elementary School Challenge concluded on Friday, October 29th, and first place was captured by Hasty Elementary in Thomasville, second place by Marvin B. Smith Elementary in Burlington, and third place by John Lawrence Elementary in Archdale. Each school will receive a donation to their parent-teacher organization.

"Fifty-two schools donated 1,908 coats through this special coat drive,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “We would like to thank all the schools that participated. Thousands of children and adults will have a coat this winter because of your donations."

Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World dry cleaners, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL. The 2010 campaign concludes on Saturday, December 4th. For additional information, please call Dianne Black at 336-841-4188.
