Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 2011 Campaign
This year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign concluded on Saturday, November 26, 2011 after receiving 20,846 coats for needy families in the area. Since its inception 25 years ago, A Cleaner World has collected, cleaned, and distributed over 744,000 coats.
“Triad residents continue to support this campaign year after year,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “We are so pleased to know that over 20,000 children and adults will be warm this winter because of that support. Thank you to our partners Fox 8, 1075KZL, and The Salvation Army for their continued dedication to this project. I’d also like to say a special thank you to our employees for all their hard work. Every person that contributes, whether it is by donating a coat, cleaning a coat, or spreading the word, is important to the program’s success.”
While the collection process is over, The Salvation Army is continuing to distribute coats. Families in need of coats should contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL.
