Week Four Holding Steady for Give A Kid A Coat Campaign

With two weeks remaining in this year’s campaign, Give A Kid A Coat has collected 17,528 coats to date, which is slightly ahead of the same week last year. “More and more people are coming to us for coats, and with your help we can meet their needs”, says Captain Tony Perez of The Salvation Army n High Point. “Thank you Piedmont for a great start, but we still need your help.”

“Our goal is to help as many folks as possible have a warm coat this winter,” says Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “The need is especially great for children’s coats again this year. Please check your closets and help a family in need.”

Coat donations can be made at any A Cleaner World dry cleaner in North Carolina & Virginia, where they will be cleaned, repaired, and sent to Salvation Army distribution points. Families in need of coats should check with their nearest Salvation Army for distribution information as times and locations vary by city.

In addition, folks who want to help but who may not have a coat to donate, may make a monetary donation at any High Point Bank location for Give A Kid A Coat. All donations will be given to The Salvation Army to purchase coats.

The 2010 Give A Kid A Coat campaign concludes Saturday, December 4, 2010. Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL. For additional information, please call Dianne Black at 336-841-4188.
