THE NEED CONTINUES
The 2015 Give A Kid A Coat campaign has collected 8,085 coats during the first three weeks of this year’s campaign. That’s 147 more than the number collected through week three of last year’s campaign.
Chris Kelly with Rock 92 says, “The Give a Kid a Coat campaign has been a wonderful event for kids in our community for as long as I can remember. We at Rock 92 are thrilled to be taking part in it this year. Our kids are the most important things in any of our lives. Helping all children in our area stay warm this winter is easy to do and vitally important.”
"Although we are slightly ahead of our numbers through the same week last year, we need to make a strong push the last two weeks of this year’s campaign to meet the needs of as many children as possible,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World.
If you’d like to help with this year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign, simply drop off outgrown or unused coats at any A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair coats and give them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats should check with their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
This year’s Elementary School Challenge will end on November 7th. Please encourage your school to participate in this challenge. The top five schools will receive a cash award made payable to their PTA.
The 2015 Give A Kid A Coat campaign concludes Saturday, November 14, 2015. Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, Campers Inn, 1075KZL, and Rock92.
