GIVE A KID A COAT 2017 CAMPAIGN ENTERS FINAL WEEK
The 2017 Give A Kid A Coat campaign is entering its final week, and we are currently 67 coats ahead of week four last year. To date, Give A Kid A Coat for 2017 has received 15,344 coats.
Major Don Vick from the Greensboro Salvation Army says: “Give A Kid A Coat is a blessing to the donor and a greater blessing to the children in need of a coat. It’s a win-win program. A Cleaner World is to be commended for making this program possible for the last thirty years.”
If you would like to donate a coat to keep a child or adult warm this winter, simply drop off an outgrown coat or a coat no longer being worn at the nearest A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair the coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats can visit www.acleanerworld.com/GiveaKidaCoat.aspx to check on distribution times and locations
as these vary by city. If you don’t have a coat to donate but would still like to help, The Salvation Army has set up a special page for monetary donations
. Donations will be used to purchase new coats in much needed sizes and to help offset Salvation Army expenses associated with distributing coats.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, 1075KZL, and Rock92. This year’s campaign ends on Saturday, February 11, 2017.
