Give A Kid A Coat Enters Final Week
The 2014 Give A Kid A Coat campaign is entering its final week, and we are currently 1,612 coats behind week four of last year. To date, Give A Kid A Coat for 2014 has received 11,156 coats.
“We are incredibly grateful for every coat that’s been donated so far,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “But the need is great, and folks are asking for help. This is the last week to donate to the 2014 campaign, so please check your closets to see if you have a coat that you can donate. Let’s make sure every child in our community stays warm this winter.”
If you would like to donate a coat to keep a child or adult warm this winter, simply drop off an outgrown coat or a coat no longer needed at the nearestA Cleaner World location
. A Cleaner World will clean and repair coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats can visit www.acleanerworld.com/GiveaKidaCoat.aspx to check on distribution times and locations
as these vary by city. If you don’t have a coat to donate but would still like to help, The Salvation Army has set up a page for monetary donations
. Donations will be used to purchase new coats in much needed sizes and to help offset Salvation Army expenses associated with distributing coats.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, 1075KZL, and Southside Bargain Center. This year’s campaign ends on Saturday, November 15, 2014. For additional information, please call Dianne Berberich at 336-841-4188.
