Read to Ride
WHO MAY ENTER
1. Entrants must be U.S. residents who are between the ages of five and sixteen (inclusive) by July 28, 2006. Proof of age may be required.
2. Employees of ABC 11 Eyewitness News, A Cleaner World, All Star Bike Shops, Inc., and The Bicycle Chain along with their families are ineligible to win the offered prizes.
3. Entries that are not selected as winners will carry over to the remaining days of the contest.
HOW TO ENTER
1. No purchase is necessary to enter. Winners do not have to be present at the drawing to be eligible to win.
2. Entry forms must be completed by hand and may be obtained at any A Cleaner World area location, abc11tv.com, All Star Bike Shops, Inc., and The Bicycle Chain. Completed entry forms must be returned to any A Cleaner World location, participating bike shops or mailed to ABC 11 Eyewitness News. No mechanically reproduced completed entries will be accepted.We are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for printing errors.
3. A child may submit one entry form for every book that he/she reads during the time of the contest, June 19, 2006 - July 21, 2006. The more books a child reads, the more chances he/she will have to win. Duplication of entry forms for the same book read by the same child will not be permitted.
4. All entries to the A Cleaner World Read to Ride Summer Reading ProgramSM must be signed and verified by a parent or guardian testifying to the fact that the applicant did in fact read the book listed on the entry form. The "honor system" will apply to all entries: no verification other than a parent/guardian signature is required. Any entry form not complete and properly filled out by hand will not be eligible to win a prize.
5. "Comic books" will not be acceptable as an entry for the A Cleaner World Read to Ride Summer Reading Programs.
6. Entries may also be mailed to ABC 11 Eyewitness News, 411 Liberty Street, Durham, NC 27701.
7. Deadline for the entries are the following Friday dates at noon. A daily drawing will take place each Monday - Friday, and winners will be announced on air and listed on abc11tv.com.
All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of ABC 11 Eyewitness News and will not be acknowledged or returned.
8. Only one prize will be awarded per child.
HOW TO WIN/PRIZES
1. A random daily drawing will be held by a representative of ABC 11 Eyewitness News from all eligible entries. Non-winning entries will carry over to subsequent days of the contest. Five (5) bicycles will be given away each week for five weeks. Twenty-five prizes to be awarded include a bicycle and helmet up to a $300 value for each winner.
2. Winners will be notified by phone or US mail and their parents/guardian must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility. This must be returned to ABC 11 Eyewitness News within ten days of notification. If a winner does not return the affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing.
3. The winners will be fitted with selected bicycles and helmets appropriate to the winners individual sizes at a total value not to exceed $300. Each winner may redeem their prize at one of the following shops: All Star Bike Shops, Inc. or The Bicycle Chain.
4. Winners must pick up their bikes from one of the bicycle sponsors by December 31, 2006.
5. The winner may not redeem the prize for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
6. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes.
ODDS OF WINNING
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope to A Cleaner World, P.O. Box 6535, High Point, NC 27262-6535.
4. Any controversy as to the rules, entry illegibility or any other issues, whatsoever, will be decided by A Cleaner World. All decisions will be final.
5. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. The sponsors accept no responsibility or liability in connection with an injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
