ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHALLENGE WINNERS ANNOUNCED

This year, A Cleaner World offered an opportunity for area elementary schools to be involved in the Give A Kid A Coat campaign through a specially designed coat drive which encouraged parents and students to drop off coats at A Cleaner World stores. The Elementary School Challenge concluded on Friday, October 30th, and first place was captured by Pilot Elementary in Thomasville, second place by Williamsburg Elementary in Reidsville, and third place by Jefferson Elementary in Winston-Salem. Each school will receive a donation to their parent-teacher organization.

"Sixty schools donated 1,704 coats through this special coat drive," said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. "We would like to thank all the schools that participated. Thousands of children and adults will be warm this winter because of your help."

Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL. The 2009 campaign concludes on Saturday, November 28th. For additional information, please call Barbara Mitchell at 336-841-4188.
