Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 2009 Campaign

This year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign concluded on Saturday, November 28, 2009 after receiving 22,858 coats for needy families in the area.  Since its inception 23 years ago, A Cleaner World has collected, cleaned, and distributed over 630,000 coats. 

“Year after year the folks in our community rally together to help those in need,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World.  “We are so pleased to know that over 22,000 children and adults will be warm this winter because of that.  Thank you to our partners Fox 8, 1075KZL, and The Salvation Army for their continued support and dedication to this project.  I’d also like to say a special thank you to our employees for all of their hard work.  Every person that contributes, whether it is by donating a coat, cleaning a coat, or spreading the word, is important to the program’s success."

While the collection process is over, The Salvation Army is continuing to distribute coats.  Families in need of coats should contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
