GIVE A KID A COAT WRAPS UP 2007 CAMPAIGN

This year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign concluded on Saturday, December 1, 2007 after receiving 27,576 coats for needy families in the area.  Since its inception 21 years ago, Give A Kid A Coat has collected, cleaned, and distributed over 580,000 coats.
“We feel the campaign is successful if everyone that needs a coat gets a coat,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World, “and we understand from The Salvation Army that folks are being taken care of.  We are delighted to know that over 27,000 people will be warm this winter thanks to our community’s generosity.  We would like to thank our partners Fox 8, 1075KZL, and The Salvation Army for their dedication not only to this program but to the many other programs they support in our community.  Finally, we would like to thank our employees for all their hard work.  Give A Kid A Coat is a group effort, and we couldn’t do it without everyone’s help.”
While the collection process is over, The Salvation Army is continuing to distribute coats.  Families in need of coats should contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, and 1075KZL.  For additional information, please call Chris Edwards at 336-841-4188.
