FOX8, A CLEANER WORLD AND THE SALVATION ARMY LAUNCH “RECYCLE CLOTHES, RECYCLE LIVES”

FOX8/WGHP, A Cleaner World and The Salvation Army are teaming up to help restock the shelves at the local Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores with a new campaign “Recycle Clothes, Recycle Lives”.  Beginning July 6th and running through July 25th, people can donate clothing and other household items at any A Cleaner World location or any Salvation Army Family Thrift Store.  The money made from the thrift store sales will go to help fund Salvation Army programs that provide basic needs to individuals and families in need.

“Now is a great time to clean out our closets and recycle our clothes and household items and at the same time you can help The Salvation Army help others start over and recycle their lives”, said Karen Adams, President and General Manager at FOX8/WGHP.

“We are very excited about this new campaign that will enable The Salvation Army to help more people get back on their feet during these tough economic times”, said Captain Tony Perez of The Salvation Army of High Point.

Everyone is welcome to join The FOX8 Morning News on Friday, July 10th as we broadcast live from 6-9am from the A Cleaner World on Battleground Ave. at Cornwallis Drive in Greensboro.   There will be food, fun, and free coupons at the event.  Then on Friday, July 24th, The FOX8 News at Noon will broadcast live from the A Cleaner World at 3481 Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem.

During the campaign, The Salvation Army will have a truck parked at several A Cleaner World locations to help in the collection process.   Those dates and locations are listed below.
July 10-11th        A Cleaner World at 1949 BATTLEGROUND AVE. in Greensboro
