The Need Continues
The 2017 Give A Kid A Coat campaign has collected 12,503 coats during the first three weeks of this year’s campaign. That’s 4,418 more than the number collected through week three of last year’s campaign.
Jared Pike of 107.5 WKZL says: “We are excited to be celebrating Give A Kid A Coat’s 30th anniversary and hope to be able to collect over 20,000 coats for children right here in the Triad! Join us in making this the biggest year ever!”
“Although we are ahead of our numbers through the same week last campaign, we need to make a strong push the last two weeks of this year’s campaign to meet the needs of as many children as possible,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World.
If you’d like to help with this year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign, simply drop off outgrown or unused coats at any A Cleaner World location
. A Cleaner World will clean and repair coats and give them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats should check with their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
The 2017 Give A Kid A Coat campaign concludes Saturday, February 11, 2017. Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World
, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP
