Give A Kid A Coat 2020 Campaign Enters Final Week
The 2020 Give A Kid A Coat campaign is entering its final week. To date, Give A Kid A Coat for 2020 has received 12,677 coats.
“Although it’s warm this week, there are still plenty of cold days left this winter,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “We’d like to aim for 5,000 coats this last week of the campaign so we can keep as many children in our community warm as possible.”
If you would like to donate a coat to keep a child or adult warm this winter, simply drop off an outgrown coat or a coat no longer being worn at the nearest A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair the coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats can visit the A Cleaner World website to check on distribution times and locations as these vary by city. If you don’t have a coat to donate but would still like to help, The Salvation Army accepts monetary donations ear-marked specifically for Give A Kid A Coat. Donations will be used to purchase new coats in much needed sizes and to help offset Salvation Army expenses associated with distributing coats.
Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, 1075KZL, and WKRR/Rock92. This year’s campaign ends on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
